Furries, Fans and Feminism

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Are furries feminist? Can the umbrella label "queer" encompass some furry ways of being? What do mass media, popular culture, and social science studies have to say about furry identities? Find out, as we discuss a 2013 master's thesis entitled "Furries, Fans and Feminism: Querying and Queering the Furry Fandom." The panel will consist of a short presentation of the paper, and time for feedback, questions, and interaction with the author and others involved in the project.
